Week 6 DevLog_KU


The characters given to me to create concept artwork for have all been hand-drawn on a tablet, utilizing the Procreate software, and completed. Said characters and or creatures that fell under my responsibility include:

  • The player character and protagonist, Vitaly
  • One of the games many, folklore-inspired antagonists; a boogeyman-esque humanoid named Babau
  • Another of the game's Italian legend-driven, plot-important antagonists; a gargantuan, one-eyed cat deity, Gatto Mammone
  • The smaller, lesser creatures that follow Babau's command and share similarities with his design, the Shadow Creatures
  • The snake-like, crocodilian creatures that infest the Bog and its waters, the Biddrina (this artwork in particular includes my own art, and extra AI-mark ups for better visualization)

All concept artwork had been finalized and uploaded to both the team document, and our shared "repository" on Hansoft. The approximate time taken to do these character sheets / artwork sits at 5.5hrs total.

Using the Bing Image AI Generator, the two environmental locations I was responsible for the artwork for--the Outer Woods and the Pathway--had been completed, and uploaded to both our document and our shared files on Hansoft. 30 minutes is how long this task had taken, from start to end.

The final task was the overall compilation of the completed artworks, and penning out descriptions for each (to assist our 3D modeler with the eventual modeling process and design) to further detail what is needed for the design of each character. Writing these bullet-pointed notes, and converting the digital artwork into easily-accessible PDFs embedded within the document, took 1 hour to complete.
