Week 12 Work Blog - Irie turner
This week had two focuses for me; rigging and texturing. The rigging was finished off earlier so the models could be sent for animating while I continued on with the texturing simultaneously.
The rigging was fairly simple overall, though I may still need to do some additional weight painting on the bones to make for cleaner animations and movements. Texturing, on the other hand, took a significant chunk of time to get done, and I still have a lot of tweaking necessary to get the textures to fit the style better. To that end I'll be adjusting them in both Blender and getting them imported into Unreal proper so I can make adjustments there while comparing it with the rest of the game to make sure it's consistent or that any inconsistencies have purpose (in particular I want to play around with seeing how making the monsters differ from the environment aids in some form of uncanniness and unease factor).
